LET’s FLY AWAY
SYNOPSIS:
“From a lonely hotel room, a man calls a woman from his past to tell her good news about his life. What follows is not what he expected, but perhaps what he knew all along.”
APPROACH:
An autobiographical allegory about the moment one fully realizes that an old flame has truly gone out. My approach with this short was more subjective, as I could entirely relate to the themes, so I recollected similar sonorities as when I experienced this same symbolic feeling. Something about the rawness of the story inspired me to score this exclusively using a guitar with different pedals and effects, to give it a feeling that it is all in our main character’s head.
