SYNOPSIS:

“A lonely clerk at the last video rental store in the world struggles to connect with his constantly changing world, and must decide whether to adapt or drift into his subconscious.”

APPROACH:

The core emotion of this feature is the moment in everyone's life when they realize they need to truly adapt to the change that is becoming an adult. The protagonist encounters different characters throughout which all represent the complexities of modern life, both positive and negative. I wanted bring a sense of vulnerability and overall hopefulness to the picture by using limited instrumentation combined with nostalgic textures.
