SYNOPSIS:

“A man drives across the country to profess his love to a woman from his past, and brings a friend along to film everything. As delusions overtake them and their true intentions are revealed, the journey becomes an untethered spiral of discovery.

APPROACH:

This project was shot entirely on the iPhone, conceived mostly as “found footage” film with surreal elements. Daniel and Carter brought me onboard to score the opening credits and the Shared Dream Sequence (38:01 - 41:16), emotionally embellishing the more Lynchian aspects of the picture. I wanted this to sound more like harmonic noise than actual music, so I used more ancient elements along with distorted sounds of reality to embrace the feeling of a dream and the unraveling of a psyche.
